"Had a really enjoyable weekend. Very pleased with the choice of hotel. Would definately recommend to others going to Venice" (97319974)
Great location, 10 mins from Rialto Bridge. Good selection of restaurants nearby. The room was very clean with modern shower etc. Very good price for a hotel in central Venice (as opposed to The Lido)....we stayed in the 'tourist double'
The room layout is open plan so not ideal if you are travelling with a mate as you are completely exposed in the shower! Breakfast tray would have been better if there had been some fruit or cereal too, rather than just bread/pastries. Minor points though

"Far from satisfied for the price paid. And this strong feeling to get fooled by the pictures in Active Hotel web site in comparision to what we saw." (97204074)
the hotel is recent and clean, and the staff is very sympathic and helpful.
1- The room we were first assigned to was never displayed (no photo)on Active Hotel website. The site only shows the most beautiful room and not the one we got although it was a standard double room. Our first impression was we were very disappointed. Then we asked the staff to change room and they did what they could taking into account it was a busy week end. But the night we arrived we were looking for another hotel because our first feeling was we got fooled. 2- The hotel building is such that there is an interior court that is sometimes noisy. 3- In the second room we could hear the above neighbour walking on his floor. 4- The expresso served for breakfast was systematically (4 mornings) cold. 5- Sure it's Venice and everything is expensive there, but 5 nights for 915 Euros so about 180 Euros/night it's very expensive for this kind of hotel.
