"I had expected at least clean , comfortable surroundings but didn't get this. Although tea and coffee making facilities were available within the room -- that was it i.e. not even a biscuit on offer." (97738002)

Staff at breakfast were welcoming and provided a prompt service.

Old furniture, including the bed with springs coming through mattress and dirty headboard. Dull surroundings, ensuite had cracked tiles and no curtain on window. TV had no remote control and only had 3 available channels. Very limited choice on breakfast menu.

"I would not recommend this hotel, we stayed one night that was enough. Mould on walls, room was dirty, no heating, bathroom from the stoneage, the breakfast is ok." (97185701)

Near to Manchester Accademy, breakfast was ok.

"this is VERY budget accommodation I'm afraid. The double room was tiny, the bar wasn't manned or stocked. Good breakfast though. Beds were comfortable, but spoilt by the cheap, flat pillows. OK for 1 night 'on the town' (we were going to a gig at the apollo) if you can't find anything better, and parking is included, which it often isn't in city centre hotels. Late night Weatherspoons nearby, which is handy." (97695751)

Convenient for where we needed to be. Nice staff. Breakfast was nice

    Poor decor, smelt bad

"Fine if you are looking for somewhere to crash after a gig but perhaps not the place to take your wife/girlfriend for a weekend break. The proximity to the concert venues at the University mean that it is worth booking just for that reason" (97142194)

The breakfast and staff serving it were very pleasant and helpful

The hotel looks shabby from the outside and whilst within it, although the cleanliness was not as bad as I thought it would be.

It was quite central situated near City Center.

The shower was mouldy, the beds were too short, the room was very small. We wouldn´t stay for longer than 2 nights.

    clean, comfortable beds. spacious room.

breakfast wasn't great - I think it was halal? no bacon and sausages were pretty awful but ok otherwise.

"Although the room mentioned a menu, there was no indication of a restaurant in the hotel, nor were directions to the dining room for breakfast. Pork products were not available at breakfast, so no bacon and sausages were beef, however this did not detract from an excellent breakfast. Restaurants were a five to 10 minute walk away, which is not ideal for a lone female, although there were a lot of people around. The question of whether I would recommend this hotel would depend entirely on what you are looking for. Reasonably priced and close to the University it is ideal if you are not looking for anything more than a basic room and a good breakfast." (97074136)

The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The cost was reasonable. Bible available in bedroom.

Facilities were basic (no remote for TV, shower with warning about not always working)

"Not as near as we thought to manchester appollo, very quiet only saw one other guest. Room was of good size not pokey, shower a bit wobbly. A bit difficult to find, but overall was adequate for the purpose required good breakfast. Would stay more central next time" (97286371)

we were only in our room for a few hours over night, so the room and hotel was` adequate for our needs, we could return at night any time as we had an outside door key and also good parking facilities

We booked to attend a concert at manchester appollo, hotel was nt as near as we thought and area a bit grim would go for centre next time
